The drinking age limit is not necessary.

The people can drink from 20 years old in Japan, but a lot of people drinking before 20 years old. Is the age limit necessary? The drinking age should be free. I discuss this theme.

The drinking age should be age limited because many teenage have drinking already teenager, because drinking age isn’t necessary, because everyone can manage their drinking. The government isn’t fixing the drinking age, because everyone should decide by themselves.

The drinking age is necessary, because the brain doesn't stop growing until 20years old, and the alcohol kills brain cells. Also, if people start drinking at a much younger, it mean more drunk driving accidents. Many lives lost.

I think the drinking age is needed. If people start drinking at younger age it isn’t good for health, and the young people health saves at the drinking law.

Comparison of British Chtristmas and New Year with Japanese Christmas and New Year

Today, I am going to compare Japanese Christmas and New Year with British Christmas and New Year.

In Britain Christmas holiday, Christmas Eve is not. People buy present for friends and family and hide them until Christmas Eve. Then they put the presents under the Christmas tree. People usually have parties on Eve and spend Christmas day with their family. On Christmas day, people go to church, open their presents, eat Christmas lunch and watch the Queen’s speech. Christmas lunch is usually roast turkey, roast potato, vegetables, mince pies and Christmas pudding.

In Japan, Christmas day is not a holiday. People buy presents for steady. People don’t have party, but people eat Christmas cake. The town decorates the light. It’s called illumination. It is important holiday in England, American etc, but it is not important in Japan.

In Britain, New Year is a short holiday. Only January 1st is a holiday. People go to parties on New Year’s Eve, stay up until midnight with family and friends and celebrate New Year with champagne. Although January 2nd is not a holiday, many people stay home. There are no special foods for New Year.

In Japan, New Year is a little long holiday. Most people are a on holiday until January 3rd. People go to the shrine on January 1st, because people pray for “good year”. There are special foods in Japan. It’s called “osechi”. Osechi is New Year’s special foods. New Year’s Eve special food is buck wheat noodles. People usually spend with family and friends. It is important holiday in Japan, because it stars to New Year.

In both Japan and Britain, people spend the holidays with family and friends. In Britain, people eat special food at Christmas, but in Japan, people eat special food at New Year. In Britain, people give presents at Christmas only, but in Japan, people give presents at Christmas and New Year. In Britain, Christmas is more important, but in Japan, New Year is more important.

I spent with friends on Christmas day. We watched the movie and ate dinner. We didn’t exchange a present. I went to grandmother house on New Year. We went to shrine together. I met cousin. We went shopping together.

Osaka and Kyoto

I will compare Osaka and Kyoto. I live in Kyoto. I have many friends in Osaka. They have different things.

Kyoto is old city. It has many world heritage sites. There are beautiful places in Kyoto. I think there are many quiet places in Kyoto.

Osaka is very interesting city. I think Osaka is cheerful in the night. There are many interesting places. I think Osaka is interesting just walking.

Two cities have same things. Both cities like “Konamon”which is food using flour, for example, Okonomiyaki and Takoyaki. I like it.

Okonomiyaki

I like Okonomiyaki. Here’s how to make Okonomiyaki.
Okonomiyaki is like Japanese pizza. First, you cut cabbage and pork. Next, you mix flour and water and those. Finally, you roast it both sides on hot plate. It is very easy.

A man with a hat is walking in to a window. He pulls out a gun. He shows a note that asks for money. He takes two bags of money. He starts to run away. Mother hits him with her umbrella. She stops him. A policeman takes the robber away. A crowd watches. The bank director gives my mother a reward. She looks happy to get the money. Her grandson also has a smile on his face. He gets some candies from the bank director.

Remembrance Day in Britain

Remembrance Day in Britain
November is the time of the year when we wear a red poppy in memory of those who sacrificed their lives for us during wars.

What is Remembrance Day?
Remembrance Day is on 11 November. It is a special day set aside to remember all those men and women who were killed during the two World Wars. At one time the day was known as Armistice Day and was renamed Remembrance Day after the Second World War. Remembrance Sunday is held on the second Sunday in November, which is usually the Sunday nearest to 11 November. Wreaths are layer beside war memorials by companies, clubs and societies. People also leave small wooden crosses by the memorials in remembrance of a family member who died in war.
